COVA Connect Obesity Education Program
The Commonwealth of Virginia and Optima Health would like to assist you in improving your overall health and wellness. Therefore, the Commonwealth of Virginia Department of Human Resource Management will offer an obesity education program for COVA Connect members beginning February 15, 2010. This specialized program may offer the support you need to achieve your weight loss and/or weight management goals!
The COVA Connect Obesity Education Program will support you through every step of the weight loss process. This Program includes weight management advice, healthy eating tips, emotional support, assistance in developing new behaviors, and more! Your support team includes a Clinical Advocate/Case Manager, your physician, dieticians, and counselors.
You can begin this program at any time. Successful completion of a 12-month preparation program is required prior to being approved for Bariatric Surgery as a treatment for obesity. |
